    def worth the hype, although pricey! the perfect Berkeley vibes, overlooking college/rockridge area. Our server was super fun and attentive, and food was all high quality. I would skip the octopus dish we got as an appetizer. Main dishes were crazy big portions, and I'd actually recommend pork chop over chicken over steak in that order. Steak was slightlyyyy tough, pork chop had the best Marsala sauce, and chicken was so tender.

    The food is so good, I want to order all the things whenever I go. Wood Tavern is quaint and cozy and intimate. Make a reservation for the best experience. There is not much seating, and this place fills up quickly, especially during the lunch rush. Parking is super difficult, so give yourself extra time. The salads are nicely portioned and have a nice variety of textures and flavors. The risotto, bucatini, and burger are all really good choices. The servers are friendly. The drinks are good and strong. Overall, I really enjoy this spot for business meetings and getting together with friends around the bay area. I definitely will be back.

    We had a fantastic experience here recently. We came without reservations, totally expecting a long wait or to be turned away. We ended up getting the chef's table and watched them cook all night long. It was a delight watching the relaxed professional cooks make this delicious food without a sweat, and every seat in the house was accounted for. Whoever I assume was the main chef even teased me because he could tell I had money riding on the NCAA Basketball game on the TV in the bar. As for actual food, we had risotto for an appetizer. She had the Steak and I had the Pork Chop. Everything was delicious. Pictures posted! We will definitely be coming back, every plater we saw prepared looked tasty!
